what we teach
-
Polyvagal theory
Learn how your nervous system shapes the way you respond to stress, relationships, and the world around you.
-
Meditation & neuroplasticity
Our meditation practices are designed to rewire the brain. We teach tools to calm the mind, expand awareness, and create lasting changes in thought, feeling, and behavior patterns.
-
Gratitude Science
Gratitude is more than a feeling — it’s a practice that dramatically reshapes the brain and nervous system for greater daily well-being and better relationships.
-
Epigenetics & Interbeing
Western science calls it epigenetics. Indigenous knowledge has always called it interconnectedness. We teach how experiences — trauma and healing alike — are passed across generations, and how our innovative FEEL Method can restore balance for you and those who come after you.
-
HRV Breathwork
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) breathwork is a powerful way to regulate your nervous system. With 30 years of scientific research on the practice, we help you move from stress to calm, expand resilience, and reconnect with your body.
-
Holistic Health & Wellness Coaching
Healing isn’t just emotional — it’s deeply physical, spiritual, and economic. Our coaching integrates nutrition, lifestyle, and somatic practices, guiding you toward a sustainable and balanced life aligned with your true self.
OUR MISSION IS TO REMOVE THE BARRIERS THAT PREVENT LOVE
We believe justice is equitable access to love. Inspired by core Indigenous values of Love, Compassion, and Courage, our school’s mission is to remove the barriers that prevent love: love of self and love of others, and to heal the dysfunction and poor health inherited in our ancestral lineage. We recognize that true economic freedom or our fullest human potential cannot occur without adequate support for the latest holistic health education and healing in our communities.
Through practices that transform the energy of trauma and suffering into compassion and understanding, we work to end the transmission and experience of intergenerational trauma—both epigenetically and behaviorally in our daily lives.
We empower individuals and communities to create a more compassionate, healed, and just world.

No. The School of Intergenerational Healing and our 4-step FEEL method is for anyone with a nervous system that feels off—whether from trauma, burnout, anxiety, relationship stress, chronic stress, or just life in a society that demands too much. Our program deeply supports leaders in Indigenous communities who experience lateral violence and burnout.
-
No. Our 4-week program where we teach our original FEEL Method is not therapy—it’s a self-healing practice rooted in neuroscience, somatics, and Indigenous values. You don’t need a diagnosis or therapist to participate. Many women use our 4-step process alongside therapy or other healing tools, but it stands on its own as a nervous system reconditioning method.
-
No. We don’t ask you to relive or retell painful stories.
While trauma may explain how our nervous systems got wired for survival mode, we don’t focus on the past—we recondition your body and mind to feel safe and more relaxed in the present.
Our 4-step FEEL process is about what’s happening now in your thoughts, feelings, body, and focus—and how to shift that toward peace.
-
Our 4-step FEEL Method—developed by our Indigenous founder & hypnotherapist Danielle Forward—is based on evidence-backed practices from neuroscience, somatic psychology, and trauma research. We incorporate:
🫀 Heart coherence breathwork & HRV
💭 Mental rehearsal + visualization
🙏🏽 Gratitude-based neuroplasticity
🧘🏽♀️ Somatic awareness + polyvagal-informed tools
These have all been shown to reduce anxiety, lower cortisol, improve immune function, and retrain the brain toward positive emotional states. Our 4-step FEEL method weaves them together into a culturally grounded, simple daily practice.
-
Yes. Chronic stress and unresolved survival mode drive inflammation and worsen most illnesses—from autoimmune flares to gut issues, chronic pain, hormonal imbalance, and fatigue. Research shows
While FEEL is not a medical treatment, participants often report:
Less pain and tension
More energy and clarity
Better sleep
Calmer digestion
Fewer emotional crashes
This is because FEEL helps lower cortisol, boost oxytocin, and regulate your nervous system, creating the internal conditions where healing becomes more possible.
